No the Burghead branch line hasn't
been cleared, some photos from
Dick H in Aug 98 & the last known run down the branch of a track recording train. Note how clear the track was by Roseisle malting & how it has started to overgrow at
the Burghead end of line.

Some prints from Rob H of the last grain trains to visit Burghead maltings in 1992. The road bridge in
previous photo has long gone,
also the station building above on
left along with the track, sad.

Possible one of the last grain trains passing old Burghead stn Class 47 heading back to main line Some unusual activity down the Burghead branch line a training exercise of a train crashed, pity they still don't do it.

Some photos from Colin A. Class 37 going down the Burghead branch, just note how clear the track is. Above 37196 leaves Elgin yard. 47535 photographed a Dufftown before the KDR line was cut off. 62274 at Kittybrewster coaling

Here are some photos taken by Rob, when there were some wagons in the yard at Elgin, in contrast to the emptiness that exists today. The timber wagons are gone, the twin sets of vans were on hire from the continent (Germany I think) for taking seed potatoes south

while the containers were on some sort of trial. When the train left Aberdeen with a solitary Class 67
at the head, it was enormous and
aapparently had a struggle getting up the bank to Mulben. Today, its becoming
derelict, just like the box, empty.
